Bruce Stern is an attorney and the principal of Stern & Associates. Mr. Stern received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (“UCLA”) in 1987 and his Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law in 1990. He is a member of the California, District of Columbia and Maryland Bars.
Prior to founding his own firm in 2002, Mr. Stern worked as an attorney for law firms in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. and the international tax and accounting firm, KPMG. Among other organizations, he is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
Mr. Stern’s areas of concentration are corporate, family law, civil litigation and real estate. He is licensed to practice before State and Federal Courts in California, the District of Columbia and Maryland.
Mr. Stern regularly appears in court on behalf of his clients throughout the State of Maryland and the firm’s offices are located steps away from the Montgomery County Circuit and District Courts. He also represents clients who have taken appeals to the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and Court of Appeals.
Mr. Stern is active in the Montgomery County community. Among other activities, he has testified before the state legislature on proposed family law legislation; he was a publicly elected member of the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee; and, in 2015, he was appointed by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan to serve on the Montgomery County Trial Courts Judicial Nominations Commission.
